Hot and Dry Weather Forecast for Lahore and Punjab

what to wear in hot weather

Get ready for some hot and dry days ahead in Lahore and many parts of Punjab. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), most of Pakistan will experience dry weather due to continental air. Additionally, there’s a slight westerly wave in the upper and western regions of the country.

This means Wednesday night will be mainly hot and dry in most parts of Punjab. On Thursday and Friday, it’s going to be scorching, especially in central and southern areas. However, there might be some relief in the form of rain, wind, or thunderstorms in isolated places like Mianwali, Khushab, Bhakkar, and others. Areas like Murree and Galyat might also experience some rain and thunderstorms during the evening and night.

In Lahore, temperatures are expected to reach between 40-43°C on Thursday and Friday.

Over the past 24 hours, Lahore and many districts in Punjab experienced hot and dry weather. Central and southern districts were particularly affected by a heatwave.

Dera Ghazi Khan recorded the highest temperature in Punjab at a scorching 46°C, while Lahore reached a maximum of 42°C. Humidity in the evening was around 19% in Dera Ghazi Khan and 33% in Lahore.

It sounds like we’re in for some intense heat in the coming days. It’s important to take precautions to stay cool and hydrated, especially with temperatures soaring above 40°C. It’s also good to see some areas might get relief with rain and thunderstorms, but overall, it’s a reminder to stay safe during hot weather.
