There are thunderstorms and rain in many parts of Punjab. The Meteorological Department says this bad weather will last until tomorrow.
Places like Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Khushab, and Nurpur Thal may be affected. There might be rain in Sargodha, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, and Okara too. The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) tells this.
A PDMA person says that DG Khan, Multan, Khanewal, and Bahawalpur could get thundershowers. This shows that many places might be affected by the weather.
Besides Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may also have rain and thunderstorms. There may be heavy rain and hailstorms. Even Islamabad might have a hailstorm and heavy rain in the evening.
Moreover, places like north Balochistan, south Punjab, and upper Sindh might also get rain soon.
Karachi
In Karachi, the weather is partly cloudy, and the humidity is high at 75%, as per the Meteorological Department. The heat might be a bit lower than before due to sea breezes.
The temperature in the city may go between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, with southwest winds at 9 kilometers per hour.
Lahore
After last night’s rain and storm in Lahore, it’s not as hot. The highest temperature might reach 37 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department says there might be more rain in the next day.
As many cities in Punjab and Sindh expect more rain, people should be careful and keep an eye on weather updates to stay safe during these changing weather conditions.
Opinion: It’s crucial for everyone to pay attention to weather warnings and take necessary precautions, especially when there’s ongoing rainfall and thunderstorms. Staying informed about the weather can help ensure safety and well-being for individuals and communities alike.
