Revolutionizing Youth Engagement: The Story of YES Network Pakistan

revolutionizing youth engagement the story of yes network pakistan

The YES Network Pakistan started because one young man, Ali Raza Khan, wasn’t satisfied with the usual programs for young people in Pakistan. He felt these programs didn’t really inspire or help them. So, he decided to do something about it. Ali wanted to create a movement run by young people, where they could discover their potential to make positive changes. He believed that if young people were motivated enough, they could transform their own lives and their communities.

Ali Raza Khan said, “If you want to succeed in life, you need to have a strong desire.” He believed that desire is key to achieving anything worthwhile.

The YES Network has made a big impact since its beginning. They’ve introduced the idea of social entrepreneurship to more than 1200 technical institutions in Pakistan. They’ve even added it to the curriculum of 172 vocational and educational institutions under the Punjab Vocational Training Council. And they’re collaborating with 80 universities, running exciting projects to turn young people into social entrepreneurs.

Their approach has caught the attention of Ashoka, a global organization known for promoting social entrepreneurship. They’ve also gained recognition from other organizations like the International Association for National Youth Service (IANYS) and Innovations in Civic Participation (ICP).
