The judge told the commissioners to make a plan to collect and throw away plastic bags. Also, the court said people who throw away plastic bags should pay a fee. It also said the commissioners should keep working to reduce pollution from companies and brick kilns.
The court also told the Chamber of Commerce to give advice to industries in Punjab on how to make less waste and pollution. They have to give a report in four weeks. The court will talk about this again tomorrow.
Last month, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif agreed to ban plastic bags in the province starting from June 5th.
