lahore development authority cracks down on bylaw violations and illegal commercial use

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is taking serious action against those breaking the rules and using properties for illegal business purposes in Lahore. On Wednesday, the LDA carried out a significant operation targeting such violations.

In areas like Johar Town, Abdalian Society, Pine Avenue, and OPF Society, LDA teams took down seven buildings and sealed over a dozen others. According to LDA officials, these properties had been served notices prior to the operation.

The operation was led by Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali, who coordinated efforts with enforcement teams, the police, and heavy machinery. Tahir Farooq, the Director General of LDA, has emphasized the need to sustain such actions against bylaw violations, encroachments, and unlawful commercial activities across Lahore.
