Amara Athar, the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Lahore, has ordered officials to impose big fines on motorcyclists who don’t wear helmets.
She stressed that it’s not allowed to ride motorcycles in Lahore without a helmet. From today onwards, motorcyclists can’t use Mall Road and other big roads.
Athar revealed plans to focus on Canal Road and Jail Road to catch people riding bikes without helmets. She said that anyone caught without a helmet in Lahore will have to pay a fine of Rs2,000.
