lda cracks down on illegal businesses in lahore

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continues its crackdown on illegal commercial activities in Lahore.

Action Taken: On Monday, LDA teams, led by Director Town Planning-I Ayesha Mutahir, sealed Cakes & Bakes and six other businesses in Gulshan-e-Ravi for not paying commercialization fees. The businesses affected include a medical store, private schools, grocery shops, and offices. The operation was carried out with the help of enforcement teams and the police.

Notices Issued: LDA officials stated that several notices were issued to the owners of these buildings before the operation.

Ongoing Efforts: LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has ordered ongoing operations against building and parking bylaw violations, encroachments, and illegal commercial activities in Lahore.

My Opinion

The LDA’s action against illegal commercial activities in Lahore is a positive step towards ensuring that businesses adhere to regulations. This enforcement not only promotes lawful business practices but also helps in maintaining orderly urban development. It’s crucial for the development and fairness in the city’s commercial sector.
