Lahore, Punjab Weather Update: Expect More Rain with Isolated Heavy Showers
Lahore – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more intermittent monsoon rains, with some areas likely to experience isolated heavy downpours in Lahore and other parts of Punjab on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are currently making their way into the upper and central regions of Pakistan, while a westerly wave is influencing the upper parts of the country. These conditions are expected to bring intermittent rain to various areas, including Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Kasur, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Layyah, Khushab, Multan, Taunsa, Dera Ghazi Khan, Kot Adu, Muzaffargarh, and Bahawalpur.
Isolated heavy rainfall is also possible in areas such as Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, the Pothohar region, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Khushab, Mianwali, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Layyah, and Dera Ghazi Khan.
The maximum temperature in Lahore is expected to range between 34-36°C on Wednesday and Thursday.
In the last 24 hours, Lahore and several parts of Punjab have already experienced rainfall. The recorded rainfall (in mm) in various locations includes: Jhelum 42, Islamabad (Saidpur 35, Zero Point 28, Airport 24, Golra 18, Bokra 01), Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 35, Chaklala 15, Kacheri 07), Lahore (Airport 18, City 03), Murree 15, Sialkot (City 14, Airport 05), Gujrat and Hafizabad 07, Narowal 03, Okara, and Sheikhupura 01.
In Lahore, the maximum temperature reached 35°C, and the relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 60%.

The monsoon season continues to impact Lahore and Punjab with varying rainfall intensities. While these rains bring much-needed relief from the summer heat, they also remind us of the importance of preparedness in facing the challenges that come with heavy rainfall. It is essential for residents to stay informed and take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to heavy downpours.
