rawalpindi declares two day holiday for pakistan day parade

Rawalpindi has declared a two-day holiday on March 21st and 22nd in honor of the Pakistan Day Parade. The district administration of the garrison city made this announcement for both the Rawalpindi city and cantonment areas.

According to a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi, these holidays were granted following a request from the district intelligence committee. Consequently, all public and private educational institutions, as well as offices, will remain closed during these days.

However, it was clarified by the DC that the notification will not affect the ninth class examination of BISE Rawalpindi.

The Pakistan Day Parade is an annual event held in the capital, featuring joint military displays by the Pakistani army and forces of friendly nations. This year, several foreign armies, including the Chinese armed forces, are expected to participate.

In previous years, military contingents from other nations, such as Riyadh, have also joined the parade. Preparation for the Pakistan Day parade commenced last month, with the Ministry of Defence compiling lists of invitees. The event is scheduled to be attended by high-ranking government and military officials, as well as foreign dignitaries.
