Shaheen Shah Afridi made history in the opening T20I of the Pakistan vs. New Zealand series by dismissing Tim Robinson with an expertly executed in-swinger, marking his 47th first-over wicket, surpassing top bowlers worldwide. Following closely behind are India’s Kumar (46), Mohammad Amir (43), and England’s David Willey (42).

However, the highly anticipated match was marred by persistent rain at the Pindi Cricket Stadium. Only two balls were possible before the rain returned, prompting the umpires to call off the game.

The toss was delayed by half an hour, with New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell winning and opting to bat first. Despite attempts to start the game, rain interrupted play again, further delaying proceedings.

Despite efforts from the ground staff, heavier rain dashed hopes of even a five-over match, leaving fans disappointed as the encounter between Pakistan and New Zealand was abandoned.
