A private news channel has reported that Pakistan Railways has been directed by a local court in Karachi to pay damages exceeding Rs. 10 million.

The court’s decision stems from a case involving the compensation for the family of Javed Iqbal, who lost his life in a train accident. This ruling was made in accordance with the Fatal Accidents Act of 1855.

The family of Javed Iqbal, who perished in a tragic train collision near Dharki, took their plea for compensation to the local court in Karachi. The collision occurred between the Millat and Sir Syed Express trains, resulting in the loss of over 50 lives.
