punjab government's program making it easier for students to get around

In a big move, the Punjab government has launched the Punjab Motorcycle Scheme to help students move around more easily. This program is part of the Chief Minister’s Maryam Nawaz Sharif Youth Initiative and aims to give out 20,000 bikes to students all over Punjab.

Punjab Motorcycle Scheme Installments

The Punjab Motorcycle Scheme offers 19,000 petrol bikes and 1,000 e-bikes. Students can get these bikes by making a down payment of Rs20,000 and then paying smaller amounts every month for two years. Male students will pay Rs 11,676 per month, while female students will pay Rs 7,325 per month.

Punjab Motorcycle Scheme Eligibility and Application

The Punjab Motorcycle Scheme is open to students living in Punjab who have a learner’s permit or a driving license from Punjab. The first set of bikes will be given to students from Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, and Lahore. Eligible students from public and private universities, who are over 18 years old and have a driving license or learner’s permit, can apply online until April 29th.

The Punjab Motorcycle Scheme is a great step by the Punjab government to help students. By making it easier for them to get around with this payment plan, the government is reducing the financial pressure on students and promoting their mobility. Eligible students should take advantage of this opportunity and apply before the deadline to get their bikes.
