government grants nine day break for daanish school students in punjab for eid ul fitr

The Punjab government has announced nine days of holidays for students attending Daanish Schools in Rahim Yar Khan, Hasilpur, Chishtian, Mianwali, Attock, DG Khan, Rajanpur, and Vehari in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In an official notice released by the provincial government, these schools will be closed from April 6 to April 14. Additionally, students are permitted to leave on April 5 after the day’s classes conclude.

The notification specifies that regular classes will resume according to the usual schedule on Monday, April 15, 2024.

As reported by the state-run APP, authorities are considering a four-day holiday from April 9 (Tuesday) to April 12 (Friday). However, it is expected that both government and certain private offices will enjoy a six-day holiday period, considering the customary weekend break observed on Saturday and Sunday.

Recently, there was viral misinformation regarding the Eid holidays, claiming that the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays would span from April 9 to April 12.

In response, a spokesperson for the ministry clarified that no such decision had been made by the government. He assured that an official notification would be issued once a decision is finalized.
