Punjab Schools’ Ramadan Timetable Unveiled

The Punjab School Education Department has released updated timings for schools during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to a notification issued on Monday by the provincial School Education Department, single-shift schools will now begin classes at 8:30 am and end at 01:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Fridays, schools will wrap up 30 minutes earlier, at 12:30 pm.

For double-shift schools, morning classes will run from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm throughout the week. Afternoon sessions will commence at 1:00 pm and conclude at 4:30 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. However, on Fridays, classes will start at 2:00 pm and end at 5:00 pm. Additionally, morning assemblies during Ramadan have been discontinued by the School Education Department.

In a similar move, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has also adjusted school timings for Ramadan. Primary schools in the province will now commence classes at 7:30 am and wrap up at 11:10 am, except on Fridays when they will conclude at 10:05 am.

For middle, secondary, and higher secondary schools, the revised timings during Ramadan will be from 7:30 am to 12:15 pm, with an early conclusion at 10:25 am on Fridays.
