Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz initiated the ‘Plant For Pakistan’ campaign, planting 109,000 saplings in a minute, setting a new record. Provincial Minister Malik Sohaib launched Punjab’s largest plantation drive on World Forests Day. Around 13,000 students joined, planting 109,000 plants within 60 seconds. Despite not being recognized by Guinness, the campaign aimed to combat smog and pollution, with 1.8 million plants planted province-wide. A high-tech app was introduced for monitoring.
