The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) expects rain, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms in Lahore and parts of Punjab over the weekend.

According to the PMD, a strong westerly wave is affecting western Pakistan. This weather pattern is likely to spread across the country by April 13th and continue until April 15th, mainly impacting the upper regions.

During this period, Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Noor Purr Thal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, Kot Addu, Rahim Yar Khan, and Rajanpur are expected to experience rain, thunderstorms, and possibly hailstorms. Similar conditions are anticipated in other regions over the weekend.

In Lahore, temperatures are predicted to range from 34-36 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 32-34 C on Sunday.

Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in the port city and most parts of the province during the last 24 hours. Bahawalpur recorded the highest temperature at 39°C, with relative humidity at 23% in the evening.
