PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz paid a visit on Monday to the family of Asif, a young man who lost his life last week due to a tragic incident involving a kite twine slashing his throat.
During their visit, both Nawaz and Maryam expressed their heartfelt condolences to the grieving family.
The incident prompted immediate action from Chief Minister Maryam, who on the previous Saturday ordered a widespread crackdown on kite-flying throughout the province.
Prior to meeting the bereaved family, Maryam held a significant gathering at Faisalabad International Airport. The meeting was attended by MPAs, PML-N leaders, and law enforcement officials, discussing measures to address the issue.
In line with efforts in other parts of Punjab, authorities in Faisalabad are intensifying their efforts to curb the manufacturing and distribution of kites and strings.
